I wanna be a “Fighter”

I just saw this movie last night. For most of the movie, I was pretty frustrated because the older brother, Dicky, went off to do his own thing and didn’t really take care of his younger brother, Micky. But through thick and thin, Micky remained loyal to his crack head brother and not-so-wise mother.

2 things really blessed me, that i want to change about myself.

1. Having more loyalty. I tend to shy from commitment because of the fear that I won’t be approved… but biblical loyalty is BEING committed even if the other person is not.

2. Keep dreaming no matter what my present situation is. As I’m getting a little bit older, I’m already feeling the need to settle for the “dreams” I once had. The “chase” doesn’t seem as romantic as it once did. But from the movie, I saw two non-believers work together for an unfathomable dream and actually achieving it. I need to be like this again, but with Kingdom dreams.

 

In short, I want to be a Fighter again, in every aspect of my life…
